Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Due to COVID-19, AYC 2020 has been canceled. AYC 2021 destinations will be released in the summer of 2020.

The capital city of Halifax is located on the beautiful East Coast of Canada. It is the largest city in the province of Nova Scotia, a rugged, sea-swept peninsula famous for its extreme tides. Halifax is a place where your pace syncs with the rhythm of the sea, and the fragrance of clean salt air is completely normal. Dominated by the star-shaped Citadel, Halifax is known for its lively waterfront, Victorian-era Public Gardens, and mix of modern and historic architecture. You will be drawn by the mission of this church plant to reach this multicultural city, where Arabic serves as the dominant secondary language.

AYC helped me put aside a shell of timidness and gave me confidence to show a boldness to be a witness to the world. I gained experience working in a different missionary environment  I will never forget my first AYC trip. It will live on in my memory for the rest of my life.
