Spain (Trip is full)

Imagine walking down ancient cobblestone roads covering even more ancient Roman ruins, and all of a sudden, a narrow street opens into an open plaza. The air is filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread and the sound of espresso delicately balanced on saucers as the waiter serves the tables filled with people from the "barrio" who came for their morning meal, newspaper, and the company of their "paisanos". From the Mediterranean Sea to the Pyrenees mountains, Spain is a beautiful landscape filled with beautiful people and a culture that dates back to the times before the Roman Empire. Imagine a people deeply connected to a long history with organized religion yet disillusioned with the traditions of man and desperate for a relationship with their creator. Imagine, there on the southwestern corner of Europe, being a part of an already burgeoning revival as you partner with the missions team and local churches on the ground. Imagine witnessing in the streets, serving the community, ministering in houses of worship, praising God alongside young people from different cultures, and seeing many open their eyes to the gospel of Jesus Christ as eternity is shaped and the miraculous takes place. Imagine AYC Spain!

Testimonials

I have met so many people through AYC and my personal network spans globally because of it. But its not just ANY people that I have met. Its the servants. The ones who give up so much to take the gospel to every nation, and the ones who skimped and saved to experience one week giving of themselves to others. Those who have gone for a few months, to those who live on the mission field. Those overseas and those on home soil. The ones who face down loneliness, discouragement, and isolation to do what God has called them to do. I’m proud to know the servants. I have learned so much about the servants heart in the years of going on AYC trips. Every trip gives me more insight on how I can serve, both in my church and my community. I wouldn’t trade the experiences I’ve had, the places and things I’ve seen, the lessons I’ve learned, and the people I’ve met for anything offered.
