Scotland is full of breathtaking scenery and an enormous history. You will experience the majestic castles, rolling green hills and the countryside with lots of history! In addition to the mainland, Scotland is made up of more than 790 islands. Despite its small size, Scotland has many treasures  – big skies, broad landscapes, hospitable people, and iconic hilltop castles. The majority of the cities that AYC will be visiting have a strong history of tradition and Catholicism. We will be providing participants with an exciting opportunity to help establish a new work in the city of Bathgate as well as seeing many exciting areas of the city of Edinburgh Scotland. You will also be an encouragement to other established works in Dunfermline & Glasgow.

Cindy Sorrels

Cindy Sorrels

Cindy Sorrels joined the UPCI Youth Ministries team (formerly GYD) in January 2005 to serve as an administrative aide. Her favorite part of the job has always been working with the Apostolic Youth Corps program. She has watched this ministry grow from 4 trips in her first year, to 20 trips in 2020. She is inspired by the hundreds of mission-minded young people who apply each year to take part in a life-changing AYC trip! She attended Indiana Bible College and has a love for all things, “Music”. Her other passions include: family, Lucy (her fur baby), traveling to warm locations, and a good iced latte.

Serve Project

While in Glasgow we will participate in a Homeless outreach in the city centre providing people with food and encouragement.

AYC changed my life. My desire to reach out and witness to hungry souls was both ignited and deepened on this trip. This was an incredible experience and something I will carry with me the rest of my life.
